I’ve been playing around with micro 9mm since the beginning, and the hellcat is my favorite. I considered pricing, which is why I would rank it higher than the sig p336. The Hellcat is a little more expensive, but it comes with an easy loader that makes reloading magazines a breeze.
- It hasn’t had any of the problems that the Ruger Max 9 did. There is no external safety or you can acquire one, but I prefer not to have one. Unlike other micro 9mm, it can mount a laser/light and has a plate that can be removed to mount an optic. Ironsights are fantastic, and I’ve never had a problem with them falling loose. It’s simple to hide. With the hellcat, you can’t go wrong.
After years of development, Springfield is proud to introduce the Hellcat™, the highest capacity micro-compact 9mm in the world, and the next generation of the defensive pistol from Springfield Armory. The 3″ barreled micro-compact pistol features a class-leading capacity of 11+1 with its patented magazine, 13+1 with the included extended mag, and is the result of years of painstaking development and engineering in addition to intensive collaboration with top engineers, shooters, and self-defense experts.
- The pistol features the U-Dot™ sight system, made up of high visibility tritium and luminescent front sight paired with a tactical rack U-notch rear. This provides a quick-to-engage sighting system ready for a wide range of lighting conditions and allows one-handed racking of the slide should the situation demand it.
